We live up in the northern mountains in Utah. We wanted sound proof windows to help reduce the street noise from our neighborhood since our house is on the only road leading in and out and we tend to get a lot of cars passing by. We also wanted better insulation, since our existing windows weren’t the best.
Our experience with Sound Proof Windows has been great. Richard Mann was very helpful from the start. He helped me measure via FaceTime and answered all of my questions and concerns in a timely manner. We had some delays with our order due to flooding (natural disaster) and Richard informed us frequently about the process and how our order was coming along. The windows arrived and we were able to install them with Richard’s help via FaceTime again. He was very accommodating to our schedules. He was always easy to reach. We are NOT “do it yourselfers” but were able to install 4 windows and a storm door with Richard’s instructions. We have noticed a difference in the noise outside. It isn’t gone, but is definitely less than it was before. Also we can tell a big difference in the temperature of the rooms. It is winter here and there is no cold draft coming from the windows that have sound proof windows installed. When I open them each morning to open the blinds (we installed them over our window covers) it is freezing in between the windows, but not cold at all in the room. I’m sure we will save a bundle on our heating
bill.
We did a flush mount on the the windows and they look really nice. The storm door is incredible quality! Definitely not your ordinary storm door.
We are happy to have found Sound Proof Windows and Treatments.
I would rate the customer service 5 stars, insulation 5 stars and sound proofing 3.5 stars.
